Idol Thoughts
I know I haven't been posting much; I've been pretty busy lately.
Syesha - She still bothers me, but it was definitely one of her better performances.
Jason - I thought this was the worst of the night. Horrible song choice. Bo survived Broadway week so maybe Jason will too.
David A. - I fast forwarded through most of it. I just can't watch that kid.
Brooke - Second worst of the night. It would have been much better if she hadn't been so nervous after she screwed up. Was it wrong that I was glad she screwed up since it's Jason's only chance at not going home? I thought her dress was pretty till I saw that it was butterflies.
Carly - Yay for doing a song from JCS, boo for it being JCS. At least it wasn't "I Don't Know How to Love Him." Also boo for wearing a dress that had a design that looked like ovaries, fallopian tubes, and a uterus right over where her ovaries, fallopian tubes, and uterus are.
David C. - Fantastic!
Someone should have done the screamy part of Gethsemane.

In regards to the show, how perfect would have Michael Johns been last night? Totally in his wheelhouse.
Carly pissed me off. She mangled the lyrics, smiled through the whole thing as if it were a jovial song, and still doesn't know the difference between singing and screaming.
Next week, she should wear one of those t-shirts that have drawings of boobs where her real boobs would be. I'd really like that.

You know, I can't believe I didn't notice she was singing it happily since that's one of my pet peeves. I did notice the lyric mangling though. I was just excited to hear a JCS song on AI.
I sort of love how your blog has turned into an AI-only zone. I'm not even posting as of late, because all I would talk about is American Idol. Namely, Jason. Hmmm.
We discussed my thoughts on this topic already, but I didn't hate Jason's performance. I'm biased as all hell, I'll admit, but the studio version is so beautiful that I'm almost glad he sang that song (and got through this week), just so I can have that track. It's gorgeous...plaintive and tremulous and full of emotion. Love it.
B., if they have that vagina dress in a plus size, I'll take one.

What's it going to take for Brooke to get voted off? I mean, seriously. She's been on a downward spiral for like the last six weeks. She's an emotional wreck. She's started, stopped, and started again TWO songs in the last four weeks.
During the critique, she
interrupts the judges, sobs, and has that trembly chin thing going on. Uhh, what does she has to do to get voted off?
For Neil Diamond week, if she does ALL of these things MAYBE they will vote her off.
1. Come out wearing a dominatrix's outfit.
2. Announce that he "can't stand" Neil Diamond and
that she is going to sing Starship's "We Built This
City" (universally regarded as the worst song ever recorded) and anyone who doesn't like that can "suck it".
3. She stops 3/4 of the way through the song because she was in the wrong key AND forgot the lyrics, but then she blames the band for "messing with my mojo".
4. In the post-song chat, she announces that she is
leaving her husband for OJ Simpson
5. In the midst of Paula saying again, "You. Are.
Brooke. White.", Brooke hucks a massive loogie at
her.
6. She walks off stage yelling, "Screw you, America! I love terrorism!" and flips everyone the bird.
Apparently, she has to do all this stuff for the
chance of getting kicked off.
Oh my gosh, Rusty was here!!! Hi, Rust! Maybe Torrid (sp?) carries that dress? ;)
I'm so embarrassed to say that I've been a Brooke White fan. I still really like her voice, but man, has she been whacked out lately.
Dim- I think Brooke coming out in a dominatrix outfit is about as likely as David Archuletta doing the same.
