Ummm...
I made the switch and things don't look too screwed up...yet.
By the way, congrats to The Office for winning best ensemble at the SAG awards!
*Update: I want to update my template, but I'm scared. I copied it and have it saved as a text file, so I should be ok in case I royally screw up, right?

yeah.... you should be. That's what I did. Of course, I never had to see if it worked. Good luck.... :-/
where do you get templates? The blogger ones are getting boring.
I know where you can find LOADS of templates...email me.
Jump in the deep end, Jen--save that text file, though
When I switched to New Blogger, I lost anything in my sidebar that wasn't a simple link (stuff that runs javascript, etc), like LibraryThing. But you can use "add a feature" to get it back. You may already have?
p.s. I forgot to say that Blogger saves your original template's HTML, so when you do lose LibraryThing, you can pull up your original template and copy the script again.
i made the switch and had no issue(s) at all.
I've been afraid to make changes too. It took me so many hours of pathetic fiddling to get it to the point that it is already. I'm old and afraid. There are wolves after me. :)
I think you should be okay. I didn't have any problems -and had fun with changing the colors of my blog. Of course, I only had simple links in my sidebar.
Thanks for the tips. Most of my sidebar things are simple links and those that aren't can be put back on pretty easily.
hmmm... I'm a bit confused now. What do you mean, "made the switch" - the the new blogger? Which is now run by Google, right?
Yeah, I switched to Google's blogger. I'm going to try to make some updates to my template this weekend.
Depending on what you want to do to your template, I might be able to help. I've managed to mix mine up a bit without major incident.
ella: I don't want to do anything major, but I'll hit you up if I manage to massively screw it all up!
