Books

I just finished Bastard Out of Carolina last night, after being so riveted that I read more than 150 pages at work (oops). I've never been more pissed at a fictional character in my life! I don't want to give too much away, but I found said character to be despicable.

I started the Da Vinci Code last night. I'm not far enough into it to comment on the plot, but the writing isn't that great. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not blown away.

Is it good enough that I should borrow it from you, Jen? I love books where I passionately hate a character or two...sounds like I would read hundreds of pages at once, too.

Are you blown away yet? :) Is The Da Vinci Code worth it? The movie was SO hard to follow--I'm wondering if the book would be even harder to follow.

It was actually pretty boring at the beginning, but towards the end I knew something was going to happen so I couldn't stop reading. It's pretty graphic. You can borrow it.

I'm actually not impressed with Da Vinci Code. I don't like his writing style.

Thanks for stopping by, Rinn. As I'm getting further into the book the writing is starting to piss me off more. It's a very interesting concept, but Mr. Brown doesn't pull it off well.
