In honor of my yearly tradition of watching Jesus Christ, Superstar, I'll be posting clips all week.

We got to see Ted Neeley + Carl Anderson in a revival tour a few years ago - they both can still wail. Love the look on J's face when the crowd asks if he'd die for them, and how the music's just on the edge of circus-weird.

Favorite song: Gethsemane.

Thanks for posting :)

Yeah!!

Really a shame about Carl Anderson passing away. Ted Neely is touring again with a troupe that includes Corey Glover from Living Colour as Judas.

Oh, and favorite tune: Heaven on their Minds.

I saw JCS at our local theater with Ted Neeley too. It's pretty impressive that he's still doing that 30+ years later. Both he and Carl can sang. Last year Chris and I were talking about how awesome Carl would have been as the lead singer in a rock band.

That's funny because my top two favorite songs are Gethsemane and Heaven on the Minds because they are Ted and Carl's best songs, respectively. I also like The Last Supper because of how they play off each other.

My favorite song is "Blood Money", but I love the whole thing.

All of a sudden, I miss you terribly, Jen. I think right now I'd give anything to be watching together and singing along with you. *quiet sob*

I wish we could watch together too :(. If we both sing really loudly, maybe we can hear each other. I'll be there in less than 3 weeks though!

By the way, I just heard on the news that some cops were killed in a shootout in Charlotte.

I can't WAIT for you to be here! I'm counting the days. Plus, I'm miserable at school, so I'm also counting the days till the end of the year.

The singing loudly idea isn't a bad one...although everyone from Mooresville to York will be holding their ears!

Yes, there was a shootout. It's this HUGE news story right now. They caught the bastard yesterday, though. Gross.
