The Idiot Report

Readers are filing a class action lawsuit against James Frey. They claim "the book was a waste of time and they should be reimbursed for the cost of the tome and the hours they spent reading it...In another suit, a New York social worker complained she had recommended the book to people with substance abuse and legal problems."

Cry me a fucking river.

Paula Abdul is enlisting Dr. Phil's help in finding a man. Dr. Phil, of all people.

I suppose this means I'm a cold-hearted little person, but I do love the Idiot Report. This subject could be a WHOLE OTHER blog. Which I would read daily. Hee - Idiot Report.

I think a simple "Oh Good Lord" will suffice for most of these moronic news items, but the part of me with no apathy has something extra to say about the TEEN who was trampled.

A TEENAGER went into an ELEPHANT'S cage?! How stupid can you BE?! Did you think it would tousle your hair gently with its trunk and eat peanuts out of your hand or something?! Come on! I'm not saying he deserved to be trampled, per se, but...um...if you go in there, you kind of deserve to be trampled.

Now, with all the hoopla of this book and this dumb Frey guy, I think I want to read his book! :)

caroline: Oh yeah.

Katie: Hmmm... That's a good idea, but I don't know if I have the wherewithal to do 2 blogs.

Rusty: I laughed at thinking of the elephant tossling the kids hair. People in the message boards were like, "Where were this kid's parents?" I think by age 13, you shouldn't have to be told by your parents not to go into a wild animal's cage.

Feather: I want to read it too.

Goddess: I know...

Oops oops oops! I meant "empathy", which I'm sure you realized. Hell, I have plenty of apathy, but I DID mean a different word there.

And yeah, that kid must have been a dumbass.
